MY TELESCOPES

I have two telescopes that I received as gifts.

The first one is a Dobsonian Skywatcher 6” which I have had since 2009. This is a Parabolic Newtonian Reflector.

The second telescope is a Dobsonian Skywatcher BKP1145 which I have had since Christmas 2012. This is also a Parabolic Newtonian Reflector.

I am also a junior member of the Astronimical Society of Victoria (ASV).  I attend monthly meetings for the junior section. We sometimes take our telescopes along to view the night sky.

Dad and I also attend what is called a Star-B-Que or Star Party where members of the ASV get together and view the night sky through their telescopes that are all different sizes and shapes.

We are taking my smaller telescope (BKP1145) on holidays with us in September when we travel the Birdsville Track and the Strzelecki Track.

I also take it outside at home to view special occurrences in the night sky like eclipses and planets aligning.
